JASPER MORRISON
Jasper Morrison RDI CBE is one of Britain’s most influential contemporary furniture and industrial designers. Internationally recognised for his restrained, highly functional aesthetic, Morrison has consistently demonstrated that good design should be quiet, enduring and unobtrusive rather than attention-seeking. His philosophy of “Super Normal” design has had a profound influence on contemporary furniture, product and industrial design.
Working from his London-based studio since the mid-1980s, Morrison has collaborated with many of Europe’s and Japan’s most respected manufacturers, creating furniture, lighting, tableware, electronics, transport interiors and household products that have become modern classics.
His work is represented in the permanent collections of many of the world’s leading museums, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Design Museum London and the Vitra Design Museum.
